In 2020 I led a team at frog that partnered with the Netflix Experiences team to conduct initial design research, concepting and roadmapping for what was then a fairly speculative and new initiative called Netflix House. Netflix House is a new form of permanent location based entertainment that includs immersive experiences, experiential retail and dining all connected to Netflix IP and storytelling. This allows Netflix House to implement a similar media-physical experience flywheel to Disney, but more widely distributed across locations given their more flexible and smaller footprint.
After a number of years Netflix House is opening its first two locations in Philadelphia (King of Prussia) and Dallas in early 2026.
