PETERS WORLD MAP

Website developed for Project One with Alfredo Jaar in order to spread word about the Peters World Map.  The Peters Map was designed by Arno Peters in 1972 in order to illustrate the world with countries demonstrating their accurate size rather than correct shape.  This map provided one with a sense of the true spatial relationship between countries in the world and was less Euro-centric than many global maps produced until that point.  The website was hosted at www.petersworldmap.org for two years and had over 50,000 visitors, before funding from the University was halted.
