GEEK GRAFFITI: RENZO PIANO BUILDING IN ROTTERDAM

During the Spring of 2007 I enrolled in the Geek Graffiti studio taught by Evan Roth of the Graffiti Research Lab. This was at the same time that they launched Laser Tag in Rotterdam, and simultaneously took command of the animated facade of the KPN Renzo Piano building there. We were asked to submit animated .gif files so they could play them on the building for an animated gif drive-in theater.  

I based my animation on the comparison between the Mercator (who worked nearby in the 1500's) projection of the world map which is the most ubiquitous depiction of land size and shape and the Peters World Map which accurately depicts land mass size...
